1.4547

Data sheet material 1.4547 / AISI 254SMO

X1CrNiMoCuN20-18-7

Austenitic corrosion-resistant stainless steel

Brief description

The material 1.4547 or 254SMO is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel with excellent resistance to pitting, crevice and surface corrosion. Due to its high PREN value, which is above a value of 42.2, material 1.4547 is resistant to seawater and is therefore frequently used in offshore technology.
